The site is located on South Worple Way, a residential area between Richmond Park and Barnes Common. The existing site has two street frontages to both South Worple Way and South Worple Avenue.

Immediately to the north of the site is the national railway line and to the west is Old Mortlake Burial Ground. The majority of properties in the local vicinity are two storeys in height.
